How to refurbish a vintage upholstered chair

We often seeked lovely retro vintage chairs in antique fairs and online to restore. When we spotted this lovely mid century cocktail chair we could immediately see the potential of an exciting transformation using Hokolo’s woven wool fabric.

The chair has beautiful silhouette and is extremely comfortable. Hokolo Benedict fabric features our signature mid century inspired patterns and is the perfect match for this iconic splayed legs, scoop backed chair.

When we removed the outer fabric we found out that the chair was actually originally covered in vinyl, which was pretty nice. We restored the chair and reupholstered them in Benedict woven wool fabric, finishing the beech legs with a semi gloss lacquer.

This was another beautiful mid century cocktail chair striped back to it's wooden frame, new coil springs installed and reupholstered in Hokolo Benedict Blue woven wool fabric.
